Make your city work better for everyone.
Active Citizens is a small civic group focused on everyday problems that affect safety, access, and quality of life. We track issues, talk to decision makers, and push for fixes that actually happen.

What we do
Find solvable problems
We focus on issues that can realistically be fixed by the city or other local bodies.
Use evidence
Photos, policies, meeting notes, and simple data, so it is harder to ignore.
Push for action
Clear requests, clear timelines, and public follow-up until something changes.
Projects
Safer school routes
Protected bike lanes, calmer streets, and safer crossings near schools.
Accessible intersections
Signals, curb cuts, and designs that work for seniors and people with disabilities.
Trees and public space
Protect green space and demand better planning when changes are proposed.
Replace these with your real projects. We can also add a page per project later.
Get involved
Volunteer
Help with photos, short write-ups, or attending a council meeting once in a while.
Share issues
Send a tip about a local problem and we can decide if it is a good target.
Partner
Work with other groups when goals overlap, without losing focus.
Contact
Send a message. This form uses your email app for now (free and simple).
Later we can add a real form that sends to your inbox without opening mail (still free).
Where we work
Start with one city (example: Richmond or Vancouver), then add more pages if the project grows.
